My Background & Approach

I have been able to develop my professional skills for more than 5 years utilizing evidence practice theories one being Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Cognitive behavioral therapy focuses on changing the automatic negative thoughts that can contribute to and worsen emotional difficulties, depression, and anxiety among adults and adolescents dealing with trauma, depression, and anxiety. These spontaneous negative reoccurring thoughts have a detrimental influence on mood and can affect the state of mind and overall daily functioning. Using my clinical judgment, I am able to look at the warning signs, such as the client’s physical and emotional characteristics, mood, and statements. Asking the right questions and utilizing cognitive processing to go further into the root of the trauma or root pf the problem. After meeting with the patient, I am able to determine what approach is needed in therapy to create a treatment plan with the patient that will guide the patient to recovery.
