Tamara Genkina, AMFT
I am here to help clients discover their strengths when facing life’s challenges.
About My Clients
My experience includes working primarily with children, adolescents, and young adults with various mental health issues. As a therapist, I establish a safe place for individuals to express themselves, grow, and become better equipped to face anything that comes their way. To me, the client-therapist relationship is based upon presence, empathy, and support.
My Background & Approach
I am registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. My educational background, includes an M.A in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy and an M.A in Psychology from Pepperdine University. I have also gained experience in the field, working with children and young adults experiencing homelessness, gang affiliation, court-mandated, and a wide range of mental health needs. My approach to therapy is solution focused and strength based. I strive to meet my client where they are at and develop a treatment plan that caters specific to their needs.
