About My Clients
I work with children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD and neurodivergence, relationship challenges, identity exploration, trauma, and major life transitions. I believe every person has a unique story, and I strive to create a space where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and accepted.
Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, struggling in relationships, navigating questions about your identity, or simply feeling stuck, therapy can offer an opportunity to better understand yourself and create meaningful change. My approach is warm, collaborative, and individualized. Together, we can explore both the challenges you are facing today and the experiences and relationships that may have shaped them.
My Background & Approach
My background has been shaped by experiences living in both the United States and abroad, including six formative years in Managua, Nicaragua and two years in the United Kingdom. These experiences, along with my fluency in spoken and written Spanish, have deepened my appreciation for the ways culture, family, identity, and community shape how we understand ourselves and navigate the world.
I hold a double B.A. in Psychology and Theatre Arts from the University of California, Santa Cruz; an M.S. in Occupational Psychology from Goldsmiths, University of London; and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Alliant University’s California School of Professional Psychology, with an emphasis in family, couples, and relational psychology.
I am also a clinical intern at the C. G. Jung Institute of Los Angeles, where I receive training in Jungian and depth-oriented approaches to psychotherapy. My clinical approach is primarily relational, psychodynamic, attachment-based, and Jungian-oriented. I am interested in helping clients understand not only what they are experiencing, but also the deeper patterns, relationships, emotions, and life experiences that may be contributing to their struggles.
Depending on each client's needs, I integrate evidence-based approaches and practical tools to support emotional regulation, coping, and personal growth. I believe therapy can be more than a place to manage symptoms. It can also be a space for reflection, self-discovery, healing, and developing a more authentic and compassionate relationship with yourself and others.
My Beliefs & Interests
I believe meaningful change begins with feeling safe enough to be honest about who you are and what you have experienced. My role is not to tell you who you should become, but to work collaboratively with you as you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, your relationships, and the life you want to create.
I take a culturally responsive and LGBTQIA+-affirming approach to therapy and am particularly passionate about supporting neurodivergent individuals, LGBTQIA+ communities, Spanish-speaking clients, and people from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. I recognize that our struggles do not exist in isolation. Our families, relationships, cultures, identities, communities, and environments all influence how we experience ourselves and the world around us.
My goal is to create a compassionate, curious, and nonjudgmental space where you can explore these experiences openly. Whether we are working through a current challenge or exploring patterns that have developed over time, I hope to help you feel more connected to yourself and empowered to make meaningful changes.
